Although this car variety utilizes loads of gasoline compared to other cars, it more than makes up for it by having plenty of space to spare. These days if you’re after functionality and top-notch quality then the GMC Yukon and the Nissan Armada are considered two of the best sport utility vehicles out there. Actually both cars are excellent when it comes to quality but then again this blog is all about choosing the best car right? Let’s talk about the GMC Yukon and how and compare it with the Nissan Armada later on.

The engine of the Yukon is a 4.8 liter, 16-valve V8 type which is capable of generating as much as 295 horsepower. Additionally, the car can also run on ethanol which can save you several hundred dollars for engine-conversion fees. This added feature also makes the car environment-friendly too. Meanwhile, the exterior design of the Yukon is needless to say-impressive. The car has enormous proportions while featuring a rounded hood. The headlights are dual-halogen types while the windshield is raked for additional aesthetic effect. The car also has ski racks although you have to request it before ordering the vehicle.
After the exteriors let’s go to the Yukon’s interior design which I thought is simply remarkable. The Yukon features a leather-wrapped steering wheel while also capable of accommodating a whopping nine passengers at the same time. If you have a big family or a group of friends who you want to bring all at the same time, this car can certainly satisfy your requirements. Furthermore the car has lots of compartments available for almost everything that you can think of bringing, except for the refrigerator maybe. Lastly, the car has plenty of multimedia features that can keep you entertained while driving. When it comes to the driving experience, make sure that you can handle a car of this size first before considering a purchase.
Nissan Armada

The Armada boasts of a 5.6 liter engine which can churn up as much as 317 horsepower. On the other hand, when it comes to its exterior design, the Armada definitely has that tough look that fits the adventurers’ profile. Basically, the Armada has great contours and lines that were surely crafted very well. The car looks bigger than the Yukon at first glance with a slightly better exterior design as well. When you go inside the car, this one has massive space for a lot of things. Its downside is that the Armada can only accommodate seven people compared to the Yukon’s nine. That’s a huge difference and disparity considering how close the features of these cars are.
The electronic amenities of the Armada are pretty much standard featuring a DVD player, satellite radio which is MP3 capable. This quality of gadgetry however is something that the Yukon doesn’t have. However, if you intend to have more features you can do it by informing Nissan before the purchase although I suggest that you just contract a professional mechanic in order to cut down on costs. The best electronic feature however is its LCD navigation monitor which tells you traffic routes and updates. That’s a huge plus considering how unfamiliar most drivers are when it comes to routes.
The price of the Armada is not much of a concern if you can afford the Yukon which has basically the same price. On the driving side of things, there is some difficulty when you try to maneuver this behemoth on small roads so just be careful when you handle this car. It’s safe to say though that the Armada is easier to handle compared to the Yukon.
Overall, the Yukon has been around for a while and it has great features that you just can’t dismiss. However, when it comes to overall comfort and performance the Armada has a far complete repertoire. I’d give the Armada the thumbs up on this one.
