BMW and Mercedes are two of the biggest German car manufacturers in the world. If that’s not enough, they happen to be one of the most established and respected as well in the automotive industry. So which would you choose between two cars that come from these car manufacturers? The question is tough because both car makers are known for the efficient and world-class quality that their cars have.
So what are the cars that I am talking about? From BMW it’s the M5 while from Mercedes, it’s the E63 AMG. Without a doubt, both of these cars will have it very close at the end of this post.
2008 BMW M5

Power is something that this car would not have any problems dishing out and it’s because at 500 horsepower, this car is strong enough to make you dizzy and nauseous. Meanwhile, this car becomes even more impressive with its ability to reach 60mph in merely 4.8 seconds. Needless to say, that’s utterly lightning fast and that’s because of its V10 engine. On the other hand, when you probe into the M5’s exterior, you’ll find that this car is a sporty sedan with great curves and a slightly imposing grille.
The interior of the car is what the BMW has been known all along and that’s perfection and organization. The M5 boasts of aluminum, olive wood and Madeira wood for its interior components. The even better thing about the M5 is that you can adjust the seats in varying degrees making this car even more impressive. On a different note, the M5’s sound system is pretty standard although it’s up to you on how you want to improve it.
Overall, the M5 is by not cheap by any standards although its price is justified by its 500 horsepower engine and top-notch BMW technology.
Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

The E63 AMG’s engine is a 6.3 liter monster that can churn up as much as 507 horsepower when roused from its sleep. In only 4.3 seconds, this car can reach 60 mph once you step on its acceleration and that’s enough to make your head dizzy. If you think this car can burn the road, well that’s clearly an understatement because it can pretty much turn concrete into ashes. If you’re curious on how fast this car is, the E63 AMG can reach up to 186 mph which is pretty damn fast if you’re going to ask me.
The exterior of this car is definitely something that would make everyone drool and I am not surprised at all. The Mercedes brand is known for its fantastic exterior designs and this car is not an exception but definitely a rule. Meanwhile, the interior of the AMG from Mercedes is definitely something noteworthy. The foot pedal of this car is made of stainless steel while its sound system is far more sophisticated compared to its BMW counterpart. The E63 AMG is definitely pretty expensive and I think it deserves it because of the quality that you’ll get once you bag this car and put it in its proper place-the garage.
Overall, it’s safe to say that this bout is a tie although the better equipped yet more expensive Mercedes variety has a very slight upper hand.
